PCV valve question

Quick question, is it easy to access the PCV valve once removing the intake manifold? I don't want to go through that hassle and still not be able to reach it. Thanks in advance.

Quick question, is the the pcv valve connected to the vac line that comes off the lower (metal) intake manifold at the front of the engine?

Yes, if I remember correctly. Should be a dark gray line that is kind of squiggly in shape.

Sorry to revive an old thread but I need help finding the hose that leads to the pcv valve on a 2009 Honda fit. On another forum it is said that pinching that hose would test the valve itself, and I have reason to believe that my valve was damaged during the recall....

I notice three hoses to the right of the engine....

It's the hose between the PVC and the intake manifold - should be on front of engine I believe. Pinched lightly w/ pliers or fingers should produce a clicking sound. If not check PVC washer for cracks or damage, if OK replace valve.

Front of engine centered below intake manifold hose comes off it to the manifold. No need to remove manifold to replace PVC. There is a harness holder in front of it that needs to be removed though.

PVC should in no way been effected by the LMS recall. What makes you think so?

Congratulations on reviving a 3 year old thread. I was talking about the GD3 which you do indeed have to remove the manifold to access the pcv. The others were talking about the GE8.

I have a GD3 and I want to switch out my valve. Car gas 172,000km. I think its time. Been having some issues. Replaced spark plugs, replacing ignition coins and also going to replace the pcv valve.

Where is this valve located after you remove the intake manifold? Is it closes to the firewall at the very back of the engine once the manifold is off? I got as far as removing my airbox today and then the manifold I only saw three bolts connecting it. What else needs to be removed in order to take off the manifold? Once the manifold is off, where will the valve be located precisely? On the bsck, on the side where the airbox would sit, where?
