What should I do first?

I Just got my 09 Fit last week, and obviously, the car has been sitting on the lot for about a year or so I assume. So they have washed it and what-not the time they have had the car. So, I did notice the car already has some light swirling on it already, not too terribly bad at all. So, I have some sealant and other goodies on order, and should be here monday, but I didnt buy any abrasive... to make these swirls I have go away. What should I buy to take care of it BEFORE or AFTER I use the sealant I bought on the car? I have been reading a LOT of posts, I just want to make sure Im taking the right steps for preserving my car and maintaining how it looks. Money is more or less no object at the moment. Also, if it matters, the color is Blackberry Pearl. ZThanks in advance for any information!

After reading a few more posts, should I use a glaze in lieu of a sealant?

first thing i do is spot clay areas that feel rough (contamination), then either glaze (Prima Amigo) or use some light polish (Griot's Polish3) on my random orbital and finish off with either a sealant or wax.

when dealers wash your car they will induce swirls.
