DIY For Drum Brakes?

Is there a DIY for standard service on drum brakes? I'm looking at the Service Manual (Page 19-25) and it seems rather complicated. (I've never worked on drum brakes before.)

Thanks.

Id say either take it in or wait for a DIY, I remember working on my dads old nissan and it took like half a day and alot of swearing to change the pads ( Shoes? forgot the term for drum pads...)

Have you looked to see if they are worn? My car has 70K on it and the rears look fine. Jack up the rear of the car, pull one of the wheels, release the ebrake and the drum should just pull right off. Keep in mind that the linings on brake shoes aren't that thick to begin with like they are on front pads.
