Unhappy Fit Window Frames Fading Black Color

I have a 2009 Honda Fit Sport and noticed the black plastic frame around the passenger windows (front and back) has this white wash/fade all over it. It looks like it is losing the the original black color from the plastic.

Is the exterior damaged? I can't figure out how this happened. And is there anything I can do to restore the original black color of the plastic?

The car is only about 10 months old.

Thanks,
Ralph

This product line works well, the one for trim pieces is the one you should use.

Forever Black products will beautify and protect tires, moldings, trim, and bumpers.

Thanks for your reply Steven. Just to confirm, this will work on the exterior plastic pillars that separate the front and back passenger windows?

To better explain the issue, it looks like the black plastic has tiny white spots all over the place, like white sand. Does this mean the plastic itself is damaged? And any ideas on how it could have happened?

Regards,
Ralph
