coolant question
coolant question
I did a search and sort of found the answer I was looking for, but wanted to post a thread anyways just to double check.
My 2007 Fit Sport is pushing 62K and I haven't changed the coolant yet. I used to work for a Honda dealer and if I remember correctly, the Honda type II coolant should last for quite awhile. Does the Fit have a coolant light that tells you when you need to have it changed or should I get it done now?

The MM should tell you A 1, something like that.
A diif. letter coresponds to what needs to be done. I just don't know for sure on what number it is for the coolant. 5?
Look in the Owner's Manual, it should be right in the "Maintenance" section of the booklet.

The MM will tell you
Non- MM Hondas specify 120K miles or 5 years on the blue Type II coolant.
Other cars' cooling systems that use HOAT coolant like Honda Type II have looked really good to me when the radiator is drained.
