I'm not talking the factory jack, but I like to put jackstands on the factory jack points, and that doesn't leave me many places to stick the jack.

For the front, I've found a control arm mounting bolt that works well, but the rear is an issue. Anyone know where Honda suggests placing a floor jack on the Fit?

 

I jacked my rear on the rear crossmember. Doesn't seem to have bent and drives straight! so I guess its strong enough!

just becarefull with that man my friend jacked my DC5 once from the front and he bent the front frame

 

The rear can be jacked from the tow hook area... at least that's where I've lifted all of my previous Hondas/Acuras.

I'd like to know where the front can be lifted w/o causing any suspension damage. Although I know the control arm mounting bolt area should be strong enough, I'm always leery of using suspension points for lifting.

Any mention of the front? The LCA point is plenty strong, but i'd prefer to place the jack on something flatter, the mount is round, and if the car got pushed, it might come off the jack.

 

if you look at the service manual, you can see there is a jack point in the front of the car.

Do you have to take off the plastic skirting underneath the front to get to the front jacking point?

 

No, the front jacking point sits dead center between the control arms under the engine. If you look at the picture, you'll see the exhaust resonator sitting right behind the jack point. If you look really close you'll see my crappy circling of the jack point in purple.

Beautiful... I'm on a Mac, so the downloadable service manual is all but useless to me. Thanks a ton, now I don't have to worry about doing damage when I swap wheels and tires.

Those points are in the manual, but I'm not a fan of putting a floorjack on the front points... it leaves noplace for jackstands.

Im a little confused about the rear...(excuse my stupidity)
So I jack straight from the tow hook? Cause I can't seem to find any flat surface....
And if I jack straight from the tow hoook, won't it be kind of unstable when the car is being jacked up?

 

Use a hydraulic floor jack at the front and rear jack points to lift. I wouldn't use the scissors jack that comes with the car to lift from those points.

Use of the tow hook in back as the lifting point results in two wheels being raised at the same time. Tow hook is centrally located. The car will balance nicely using the tow hook as the lift point. Once it's up, place jackstands under the side jacking points and let the car back down onto the jackstands. Same with the front.
