Help with cleaning nonsticky residue off dash
Hey folks,
I recently put in one those non slip pads on my dashboard and found NO use for it and took it off . To my horror, it left this non sticky residual on it.
What should i use to wash it as it's an eyesore

try something like "the goo buster" or similar products... search for an oily, citrus smelling product, you'll probably have to wash it after with armor all or wathever you use for detailing!
you could also try fuel lighter but the smell...

Hey everyone. Has anyone else had this problem and was successful cleaning it up. I've got a similar spot on my dash from leaving a plastic sleeve on the dash one day in the sun. Such a stupid mistake. Now I have a shiny spot on my dash like the OP.
kitkit201 did you have any luck cleaning up the spot?
TIA

I've often had pretty good luck cleaning plastic surfaces with scrubbing bubbles bathroom cleaner (or a generic equivalent). While obviously not the case here, it works quite well against nicotine stains. A scrub brush helps a lot with cleaning out the texturing, regardless of the cleaner used.
Isopropyl should be safe for the plastic, though it might not do anything useful for the residue either.
