How to clean water marks on windshield?

Hey all,

I washed my car for the first time this weekend and I ran into a few issues. Started off with a straight wash using microfiber mitt plus car wash soap and the two bucket method. After the wash, my windshield still had a lot of water marks on it that would not scrub out. I figured that perhaps the next step would take care of that.

I made sure the car was completely dry and that no droplets collected on the car. Followed up with Klasse All in one -- I used this on all the outside windows as well. The AIO helped with the water marks, but the edges of the marks are still all over the windshield. I also tried stoners invisible glass on the side windows, and that didn't seem to do much of anything.

Finally, I went over the whole car again with Klasse paint sealant. I tried to use a very small amount (about a quarter sized dab per panel), then let it dry for a few seconds as I applied it to the rest of the panel, and then wipe off the excess with a microfiber cloth. I wasn't really sure how to do this as this is my first experience really cleaning and protecting a car. Obviously I didn't do it right cause even though the car looked great when I was done, by the next morning I could see all the excess sealant swirled around the car. I went ahead and wiped the whole car down again, with a bit more force and that seems to have gotten most of it, although I might go back over parts again.

tldr;
Does anyone know how to clean water marks off the glass of the car? Also, any tips for the basics of applying polish/wax/sealant would be appreciated. Should I be wiping off the excess like the instructions say, or actually buffing it out?

TIA

To remove water spots just dilute some vinegar with water in a sprayer and just spray and wipe. Get water spots off like magic. As for the sealant I don't know its really preference and if you can afford to buy a obital buffer.

best way to clean your windows inside and out....use a window cleaner and wipe off with either news paper or coffee filters.....no streaks at all

I like to avoid using chemicals, I use a damp (with water) microfiber cloth and a dry microfiber cloth. Wipe with the damp one, then immediately after I wipe with the dry one, works like a charm.
