you need to enter your radio code to unlock it. if you don't have your code, call the dealership to get it.
if you got your car new, the dealership should have provided it to you when you bought the car - if you got your car used, you would have had to get it from the previous owner.

I wish I could help but my wife remembers every sequence of numbers she has ever read or heard in her entire life and always resets my radio codes after I have had the battery terminals removed... She is a very strange person.

If you register your VIN at the Honda OwnerLink, you can retrieve the radio code.

Otherwise call a dealer with the VIN. They may get you the code.

Seriously, our code was listed on the Pre Purchase Inspection form (PPI) that came with the car. No sticker in the glove box, I just looked.

I think many might hesitate, for what ever reason, to do this.
When I purchased my new Honda it was one of the first things I did.
I'm not sure, but I think anyone can sign on to the owners link.
All you need to do is own a Honda, no?

Not even. If (for example) you want to see a maintenance schedule for an older car, you don't have to enter a VIN. (Useful if you don't trust the MM) Just enter the type of Honda you "have".

If you are in need of a radio code, I suggest you check out unlockradiocodes.com. My car battery died on me a couple of days ago and my radio was rendered useless as a result. They were kind enough to give me my code and the guides in their website helped me a great deal as I’m not much of a car person. My radio is working again now so I can definitely vouch for their service.

Why would anyone worry that the stock radio in a Fit was going to be a target for theft? I wish someone wold steal mine.
