Cleaning radio display and clear plastic over gauges?

What is the recommended way to clean the radio display (non-nav) and also the clear plastic over the speedometer etc?

I don't want to scratch or cloud anything

Thanks!

I would guess chamois or very soft cotton cloth only moistened slightly with a little water to pick up the dust, use light pressure. Real chamois cloth is extremely soft

No real trick, just caution and common sense.

I went to an eyeglass center and bought some of the clothes they use to clean eyeglasses. Very soft, designed NOT to scratch...

I avoid any chemicals...only a minimum of water needed.

I learned the hard way when I was younger how easy that clear plastic infront of gauges can scratch.

BB I just use a Swiffer duster to clean the dash and also the radio and gauges...works really well. As fitchet said, try to avoid using chemicals.

Red face I use...

Mirachem Optix, which I also clean my LED screens with...works great on cell phones, GPS, sunglasses.

Mirachem OPTIX Screen, Lens & Display Cleaner

Usually I use a soft cotton cloth, tried the chamois this time, think I prefer the cotton.

Their All Purpose cleaner is great also. I use it as a stain remover for clothes, and it does a better job of cleaning my wood stove window than the cleaners that I found at fireplace centers.

When I was younger, the first "new" vehicle I purchased, unknowingly I scratched the crap out of the plastic covering the gauges. It bothered me so much I paid to have it replaced.

Now, I'm REALLY paranoid about that plastic. I would say part of the "trick" is doing your best to just maintain it as clean. Then you are never removing much of anything.

During cold and flu season, If I get a cough? If I'm driving, I cover my mouth like I am patient zero at an airport...

I also use a swiffer on my dash...and have used it very carefully just to remove light, light dust on the gauges.

I bought polish specifically made to polish clear optical plastic. Worked wonders on an older car.
As for the new car I apply some Plexus and wipe carefully if it is actually dirty or spotted (rain, my dog who doesn't cover her mouth when she sneezes .
Otherwise I dust lightly with no product if there's anything on it.

I first use soft bristtled paint brush to rid of dust that settled and use Oakley lens cleaning solution and one of the many microfiber Oakley sunglass pouches I have. I have a free lifetime supply of the solution from Oakley

Using a micro fiber towel and this product does wonders, it will remove light scratches and hazing. I use this on my headlights, tail lights and interior lenses everytime I clean my fit.
