Unhappy Driver's Side Mirror for a 2006/7 Fit?

Anyone have a good source for buying the internal parts for the whole assembly? (My husband borrowed my car today, and nearly ripped the whole thing off.) The outside case is salvageable, but the inside assembly is busted. I don't really want to buy a whole NEW one (like, $160!) for a stupid interior plastic part. Mirror's fine, motor still works.... Any tips would be appreciated.

I LOVE MY FIT!!! (And yes, the year is debatable. I have documentation from Honda that lists both years?)

Kate,

Hondapartsnow.com would most likely sell the internal parts of the side view mirror, as they tend to have a sizeable inventory of cheap OEM parts.

Good luck with the parts search!
