There has to be a quantity of misfires during a certain time-frame for the CEL to illuminate.

Don't think that one or two misfires will do it...

It gets progressively worst. ~9 months ago, i can still rev it up to overtake people, ~6 months it gets worst soon after it became how i described it in my previous post...

What is the brand for OEM Coilpacks? I found some on Amazon from AIP Electronics stating they were OEM but I still cautious about that claim.

Get the Hitachi one, they looked well built. I am having some more misfire now.. maybe another coil pack going out... I will need to get another one soon.

If you are from Canada, maybe check out car parts king, that's where I got mine, around 75$ shipped, which is much cheaper than 125$+tax here!!!

our fit just had this issue. i jumped in it the other day, immediately knew something was up because of some hesitation and surging. apparently it had happened to my wife while she was driving it, but she forgot to mention it to me. i only drove it for a few miles and it threw p0300, p0302, and p0304 (checked with flashpro off my fa5).

took it in and had a valve adjustment done and a fresh set of plugs. that helped the problem, but did not completely resolve it. it didn't have the cel or hesitation under load, but would still surge a little at a stop. with or without the air on.

ended up replacing all 4 coil packs and it went away. went out and drove it around a bit after dropping the new coils in and i could not replicate the surging. only after this did i come on here and read about possibly cleaning them. of well. at least she is driving like normal again. this is a 07 auto sport with 76k on it.
