P0847 Transmission Fluid Preassure Sensor Switch B Circuit Low. Help?

my 2007 Fit just threw this CEL along with a Flashing/Blinking D. I bought a code reader and it gave my code P0847 which is Tranny Fluid Preassure switch. Does anyone know where to get that sensor and where in the car is located? Any help would be great. I know car runs great but she is staying off the freeways until I get this resolved. I know dealer charges about $300 for part and labor but since switch is under $80, I would like to do the job myself. I just need to know part mumber for switch and where in the car its located. Thanks

Here is a pic of what I got from my code reader.

Thank you man, that helps a lot. So is this located on bottom of tranny? Either way, your post was very helpful.

I'm guessing from the instructions it's located at the bottom. The program at works sucks so it wouldnt let me find a further away view. Good luck

Not Sure if This is the P/N

Not sure if the switch for code P0847 is item number 9 or 10; I think it's item number 9, P/N 28600-RPC-003 "SWITCH ASSY., AT OIL PRESSURE (TEXAS INSTRUMENTS)".

Can anyone verify this please?

Here's the url:

Exclamation P0847 Verdict?

Bump! Bump! So what was the verdict here? Did replacing the press sw. (B) or (A) resolve the issue?

Son came home today with a CEL - P0847. So I'm anxious if that solved it for Woosie and/or junior... Or anyone who posted on this thread. Appreciate any follow up. Thanks!

CEL went away last night... Drives fine now... Self-healing feature maybe... Will put the car on ramps this weekend and do a visual... probably still get the switch.

haha, that pics is golden!
I did buy that switch (dont have part on me so i can get pn later). Reason? I discovered my engine harness connectors was full of oil. I figured that could be a possible reason on switch failure (bad signal, duh). I disconnected connectors on engine harness plug (follow switch plug up until you see a main engine harness connector) and see if its greasy. After that, no more CEL's and great shifts.

The P0847 saga continues

Finally got to put it on ramps today to do a visual on the switch. Didn't see anything obvious - pins, plug, connector, wire... So I put it back together.

Intermittent as heck though since my 1st post on a CEL (Mon). Sometimes no CEL at all. Sometimes, CEL from the start and sometimes CEL while driving.

Since this is my son's DD, I never really got to drive it long enough to check the symptoms except this AM. He mentioned about sometimes the car would jerk with a thump randomly - when shifting to D or waiting at a light in D. Sure enough it did when I was driving it this AM. Was sitting at a light in D when it felt like somebody nudged my rear bumper. No CEL at this point.

Drove it a few blocks more and it felt like clutch-slip between 1st and 2nd. Then the CEL finally showed up before getting home. Sports mode doesn't work either when this happens. Well I have the switch on order and will replace it when I get the part.

Thanks for chiming in guys (Junior40er and DSM). We'll see how it goes...

I know there are some old threads on this... I'll look at my manual tomorrow when I can find my way around all of the scattered parts in the barn.. I have a lot of stuff I need to reassemble...

Appreciate the assist TC. This was the only thread I found.

Now the CEL is gone again... My replacement switch will probably come the next few days.
