P0847 Transmission Fluid Preassure Sensor Switch B Circuit Low. Help?
#41
I'd say about 5 teaspoons?
Edit: I dunno about the pressure but the car was sitting for about 45min since it was turned off before I started working on it.
With all the tips explained here I was able to swap the sensors in about 30 min. I suggest get a few of those plastic tabs that hold up the plastic underpanel. You WILL break a few.

Sorry it took a while to respond. Hope that helps.
Paul
This is the part I used on my sisters 2009 fit.

Thanks Paul. You are right. The old part no. has been superceded. Do you really need to clear the CEL with an OBD scanner? after replacing the switch, mine is still doing the D blinking and not shifting on the last gear.

Good to know that it can be a different sensor! Thanks for the update. Glad everything worked out eventually

Issue resolved
At about 45K I got this code:
P0847
Transmission Fluid Pressure Sensor/Switch "B" Circuit Low
Flashing "D" in the console and my 07 GD3 Sport was unable to shift out of 3rd. I cleared the code to see if it would return. After a month the code never came back, except what did happen is that on a few occasions my paddle shifters would stop working, and also stuck in 3rd, no CEL. The shifting would be pretty rough and loud.
I had my tech replaced the solenoid sensor, it was about $50 for the part. I also did my second atf drain and fill. So far no problems and tranny operates like new again.
Confirm that this is the correct superceded current part #.

I have a 2010 fit with fault code P0847 and I'm having trouble finding the replacement sensor with part #28600-RG5-003. Nobody has it in stock. However one dealer said its the exact same sensor as 28600-RG5-004 which they have. Can anyone here confirm this?
Both sensors are shown on the parts diagram but at different locations:
2010 Honda Fit 5 Door SPORT (SAYAMA PLANT) KA 5AT AT Solenoid

Hey guys.
I have a 08 fit sport and It's having this problem. But what I found weird it's that my code is p0848 and not p0847
The code I'm getting p0848 is from a 2009 fit... Here's the tread I found:

Can someone please clarify wich sensor is the one I need, part number would be great...???
Thanks

My 2009 base is having the same issue though it is giving me P0848. The part was 28600-RG5-003 which was replaced by ...RG5-013 they sent me 28600-RG5-004 which is listed for the second gear switch and I talked to them and they said it is the same part for both.
BTW be sure to get the new crush washer when ordering as the part does not come with it.

I just replaced mine and can confirm the 004 part which is in diagrams as the second clutch sensor works fine as the third so it is the same part.
Raise the car, remove a few body pins with a flat head prying at the center. The connector is U shaped press the flat part to remove it. Then unscrew the old part and about 10-20ml of ATF will come out so be ready. Then screw the new part and new crush washer in and reattach the connector.
The part is visible from the top behind the driver's side headlight and the old part was yellow on my 2009. The new one is brown. However, I don't think you can do it from the top and you need to get under the car.

I have a 2010 Honda Fit Sport that is giving a P0847 code. Can anyone confirm that 28600-RG5-013 is the part number I need? My local auto parts store was no help, and I'm having a hard time finding the information online.

pretty sure. It is listed as 09-13 though they will probably send you 04 which is fine. Don't forget to order the crush washer as well. I have the brown 04 part installed for months and have had no further trouble with the sensor.

Thank you so much! I figured out which washer I needed and placed my order. I have a mechanic neighbor who is going to do the repair for me and I told him I would figure out which part I needed and order it...easier said than done! I really appreciate the help.

I actually just put the sensor in last week. My girlfriend reports that the cel and the flashing D have not come on since. Also the car has been shifting fine.
The problem was intermittent in the first place though so i’ll check back in if it comes back.
