Where is the Valet Switch on an 07 Fit?

Hey guys and gals,

My ex wife picked up a used 07 Fit. It came with a Viper Alarm/Remote Start which stopped working. From what I have read, it seems that the remote needs to be relearned with the car, but I need to find the valet switch to do so. The car didn't come with the manual.

Would appreciate the help. Thanks.

Oh yeah, I did do an advance searched for valet.

There is no valet key for the GD chassis (07/08 model year) Fits. More than likely you'll have to get the Viper alarm's fob (assuming it is separate from the Fit's ignition key) reset/new batteries/etc.

As far as manuals, are you talking about the Fit's owner's manual or the Viper alarm's owner's manual. You'll be able to find the Fit's online to download for free; I'm not so sure about the Viper alarm though.

The valet switch is installed as part of the aftermarket alarm. You need to contact whoever installed the alarm to find where they put the valet switch. Someone who installs a lot of these may have a good idea of where it's likely to be installed, since the switch has to be hidden from plain sight but accessible when needed.

Thanks for the help. I'll see if I can get someone who installs to look at this for me.

To verify a valet key on a Honda will do 2 things unlock the driver door only and start the car. as when you have your car where a place will valet these are the only two places they have business being.
lets say you have an 05 Civic EX what a valet key will not open is the trunk, glove box, the lever you pull to open the trunk or gas door (on floorboard between the seat and door), in some older civics a lock in the rear dashboard would let down the seat from the indie of the car. i think we can all agree these are places you don't want strangers, right? well as we all know the fit has no locks in any of these places, and the trunk space is open unless you spend an extra 200.00 for the privacy shelf. so on this car it is truly pointless.
