All of the Mobil 1 products are fully synthethic. That's what distinguishes Mobil 1 from the regular Mobil branded oils. Go back and read the site a little more carefully.

Won't prolong this beyond this post. Straight from the Mobil site:

"Is Mobil 1 with SuperSyn Technology a fully synthetic motor oil? Yes, it is. To meet the demanding requirements of today's specifications (and our customers' expectations), Mobil 1 with SuperSyn uses high-performance fluids, including polyalphaolefins (PAOs), along with a proprietary system of additives. Each Mobil 1 with SuperSyn viscosity grade uses a unique combination of synthetic fluids and selected additives in order to tailor the viscosity grade to its specific application. ". You're the one that referenced the Mobil site.

At one point they werent fully synthetic. It even said so on their website. I revisited it again recently and now it says they are. I went to the amsoil website (those guys usually love to knock on mobil 1) but I saw nothing stating that mobil 1 wasnt fully synthetic. I looked it up on google real quick and found nothing, but my search wasnt really in depth. I heard that mobil 1 changed its base, while other synthetic oils, like amsoil and royal purple still have a fully synthetic base.

Is this true? Can anyone verifiy it?

Yup they do and here in the Atlanta area they charge $$!
I put Mobile 1 5-20 and I feel better about the engine longevity... but my crappy mpg did not change... Honda says that 5600 miles the engine is still breaking in... so far I have done everything that the manual states.
Bought the car for the Honda label I have a 46mi commute (to and from work combined) a majority of it I75 & I85 and have two carpoolers and still 25mpg! Gee isn't that great?! Service writer at local Honda dealership says that is about right?!?
