If you're looking for the cabin filter (which filters air into the cabin...), it is not located under the hood. It is behind the glove box. It's really easy to get to and change out. Just open the glove box, push in on either side of the glove box so that the tabs free up, and let the glove box drop down. The cabin filter is right behind, and I believe there are two tabs that you either press in on or pull out on to release the filter. Bam, done.
