Getting her near perfect!

After getting my fit back a couple weeks ago I have been researching, buying and preparing to compound/polish my fit since returning from the body shop. So I bought a DA Polisher Meg's G110v2, 3 different pads for it, some good quality microfiber towels, along with what I already had. Which is a slew of Meg's products, M34, M105, Ult. Compound, Ult. Polish, ColorX, Swirl X, and more.

So I started this process by buffing out the old hood I had in a small section, to get my technique perfected. Then I did about 50% of the car on friday, then the rest this morning. Total time for it all including about an 80% clean up on the residues left from the buffing is 11 hours. I have not applied a wax yet, as the clear needs to fully cure for another 15 days, and I will probably do another round of Ult. Polish till I am happy with the 100% coverage results, right now it's about 80% of where I want it.

So here are a few pics after doing the job and just after the first initial wash.

Overall I am pleased so far but once this baby is ready to wax, she is gonna be 100% swirl free with a deep gloss!

I love Megs! Getting ready to place my spring order of some of their new products and those awesome microfibers. Car looks great. The paint of
the Fit is hard to deal with sometimes but Megs products can make that
paint look great!

No the whole front end was replaced so no chips, the paint on fits is very thin so once your hood is chipped it pretty much needs a repaint.
