Cat Converter Replacement: Magnaflow 51354 vs. 94854
150,000 miles on a 2007 Fit AT with the typical bad Cat (probably from riding with low gas frequently).
Planning to simply get an aftermarket switch and pay $100 or less for a Universal to weld on since the direct fits arent cheap.
I see a # of websites listing part # 94854 as a viable replacement,...while Magnaflow only lists 51354, which is a little hard to find. The rep @ Magnaflow insists I should go with exactly what's listed on THEIR website.
Perhaps someone can clue me in on just what the difference is,....and/or are there any other good alternatives for someone simply trying to do a swap and get the best, quietest gas mileage possible?
Thanks in advance.
p.s. in my state, emissions testing is a non-issue. The constant p0420 code is simply an annoyance and the gas mileage is probably decreased with a clogged up cat.
