Dont mean to hijack the thread. Killer job to the OP. A few years ago I made one of the best investments for removing swirls and fine scratches when I bought a Porter Cable random orbital kit from Griots Garage. No quick cutting, but no damage from amatures like me. I also have only used regular Simple Green on a cool engine to keep it looking new. No harsh chemicals that can remove decal lettering etc. Anyways just thought I would share the info.

I hear ya, but if my customers saw me using simple green, there probably not gonna be happy. I also damp/wet sand which requires sometimes a lil bit more of a heavy cut than a DA.

Yeah wet sanding definently calls for more RPM. I was only suggesting it to others that may be reading this thread. You best know what your doing using a high-speed buffer. But seriously, simple green is absolutely fantastic for engine areas and wheels. Try it sometime if you have the chance. Cheers!

What did you use to remove the water spots. I have bad water spots on my hood. After i wash and add a coat of wax its less noticeable but still there

I'm not close, but curious so I can gauge what people are going to charge. Minus the engine bay what would a detail like this run me $?

I've got swirls I'd like to have removed.

I bought our '13 Fit used and most everything under the hood that's aluminum shows as mildly dirty, with a sort of oxidized brown and white look present. I degreased the engine with foamy engine cleaner and it worked great, but the aluminum still looks tired.

Is there anything I can use to spruce up the appearance of aluminum parts? Thank you.
