Mine is black too and I HATE those swirls from the crappy factory paint, if you were closer i'd pay you to do mine. I don't have the skills or time but it's been bugging me since I got the car. Awesome job.

You're in Santa Ana? Fitfreak.net price quote in case i'm ever down south with the car

i use Meguiar's super degreaser at 4to1 dil ratio and agitate it a lil more with some brushes and rags. I also use a pressure washer with low psi, dont wanna slice any cords. For dress up i like to use Meguiars All Season Dressing which is a natural look finish but if the customer wants a high gloss, Meguiars Hyper dressing is the way to go

the engine bay is stock so i didn't wrap or cover anything, but if a customer has after market intake etc then i have to take pre cautions.

So even the alternator you left exposed? You let it dry before running it?

Also, what pressure washer are you using?

Looks great! Meguiers is all I use to detail my 2007 Fit and my engine bay gets detailed every time the car is washed so it stays looking pretty. This is my last year to show but I will always keep it clean and looking nice with Meguiers.

older cars they advise covering the arlternator but on newer ones there sealed well enough to just rinse it.

as for a pressure washer i use an electric one only because i'm mobile and i cant be carrying a gas powered one all over the place, way too heavy and the psi is too much for a car. its a workforce brand 1800 psi

psynx- when you did your engine bay, did you wrap anything to cover all the electronics?

i need to get me a electric pressure washer next time. my 09 GE's engine bay looks like a public toilet. usually i do a wipe down on my cars so the engine bay looks clean, but the 09, i didnt do anything. my wife uses the car primarily and she doesnt really take care of it so i kinda abandoned it. hahaha.
