clear coat scratches

Not the thread jack, so does anyone have any quick fixes for a scratch that you can feel with your fingers through the clear coat. It's on the rear passenger door.

Okay, so you couldn't see it on the last pic, but now in the dark you can see it. my poor baby

does quixx really work on scratches you can feel with your fingers. I've determined that it's only a clear coat scratch. Anyone w/ any solutions?

I just used scratchx on some minor scratches on my car.

it DID NOT totally remove them from view, but it definitely made them less noticeable. I like it

swirls and scratches

I have swirls and scratches on my new black Fit. I'm going to get the dealer to pay for a pro detail, then go from there. I wish I'd known about Honda paint jobs before dropping $17,000!

Learn to live with it I bought my Honda Fit Sport back in March 2007. The dealer scratched it from front to back and for several days they tried to get the scratches out. But they never did so after getting some free oil changes and a cargo cover. I NEVER went back to this dealer and I will not buy another car from them unless Hell Freezes Over. And I tell people which dealer screwed me. I know it hurts when you buy a new car and the dealer doesn't seem to care. If you feel you can't live with the scatches find a good auto body shop and get your New car repainted at your cost. The dealer will not pay for this. Good Luck

i got an sever accident with my car and got too much scratches and dents on my car body. the dents were replaced with the new ones and the weird looking scratches were just removed by taplon coating and after that a little bit of polishing.......

Depending on the depth of the scratch, it can be removed simply with a light-abrasive polish, to need of wet-sanding, or in the worst case scenario, re-paint+coat.

When I bought mine, it had pinstripes that I didn't want. So I had the dealership take them off and they left horrible swirling scratches and streaks on it. My car was less than an entire day old. Damn me for wanting black. My car is still only a few months old and teeny tiny scratches just appear :/

To be honest the Honda Fit paint sucks ass, its real easy to scratch or chip the paint, front bumper of my Fit is pretty hammered with rock dings and chips with just 5k miles on it. I have various scuffs in the clear coat around the car from what appears like maybe a air hose rubbing it from being PDI'd.

^Honestly, and i'm not exaggerating, I had an old beater Toyota that I had resprayed black by some back alley shop for $150 and the paint on that car was tougher than the black on my Fit. Sure it chipped from rocks but at least it didn't scratch if your put your fingernail on it like the Fit's does and the shine was still good after three years in the desert.

My #1 complaint about this car and I can't wait to just respray it at Maaco when it's older, will probably be better quality

For now I just decided i'm going to get it polished and then wax it often, it's definitely not paint you can "let go".

I'm not sure what it's called but I bought a $20 scratch kit from Walmart once and it was amazing. There's like 3 or 4 steps but it took out a 2ft scrape I got from swiping another car's bumper out of the side of my car. Can't even see it anymore.
