Quick Coil Pack Question regarding the order for cylinders

I know there are tons of other threads about this, but for whatever reason I cannot find the list for which coil pack matches for which misfire. (Yes I have spent the last 3 days looking this up, but I apparently suck at finding stuff ).

Long story short, brought the fit to a shop and they replaced coil 1 and 2, now the car is giving me grief on cylinder 3 & 4. I bought the coil packs, but not sure of the order as I only need to replace the final two. This is an '08 Fit Sport 160k miles.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would just pull them one by one with the engine running until you find one that doesn't change the idle. that's assuming it is misfiring at idle.

In this situation, can't you just replace the two old grungy ones and leave the two clean new ones in place? Or was the garage replacement some time ago?

Cylinders 3 and 4 will be the two on the right when you are facing the engine/engine bay.

Just for the record, Cylinder 1's coil pack is closest to the serpentine belt and pulleys, then cyl. 2, then 3, and finally 4 of course.

As for misfires (need clarification on codes I presume?), you basically have 5 misfire codes...

P0300 -Random Misfire
P0301 -Cylinder 1 Misfire
P0302 -Cylinder 2 Misfire
P0303 -Cylinder 3 Misfire
P0304 -Cylinder 4 Misfire

Thanks that is exactly what I was looking for, and yes it has been about 4 months since the coil packs were replaced at the shop.

Looks like this is going to get to be even more fun, I got the two replaced and the car is running worse

Found the new coil pack was faulty, "Import Direct" is the brand of the coil packs. I am starting to wonder if that is something I should be worried about.

I wouldn't have put anything but new OEM (Hitachi brand) Coils on.... Not worth it, as it seems that most other brands have quality issues...

The research was already done here in this thread to find the exact part number: https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/1st-...ml#post1178354

At $53 each still not cheap, but better to only have to go through it once...

AH no.... coilpacks are independent and one OLD OR NEW has NO EFFECT on the others.

WOW you are confused.

Coil packs are per cylinder, they are not feeding more then one on these cars.

Even if one spark plug goes bad you dont have to replace all 4.

Something like 1 bad, all 4 replace would be like the older motors and their spark plug tube seals. cannot replace one, as thickness will vary and cause 3 others to leak
