Did you lose the master key for your locking nut? They're not that expensive at the dealership anyway. Or if you're gonna get rid of the locking nuts, just visit your dealership and borrow a master key set so you can take the locking nuts off and just replace them with normal lugs.

They won't charge you for that. Well, at least back in our dealership we don't.

Just take it to the dealership. I was not charged for labor..

I lost my stock wheel lock keys before and I took it to the dealership. I went to the parts and accessory counter and told them I lost my wheel lock key and need to purchase a replacement.

They went outside to my car with their master wheel lock key set and tried them one by one until they found the correct one. And, of course they didn't have the one key that works on my car in stock, but they placed a order for me and I got it in 2 days.

I'm sure this is legit but I do get a little suspicious when I see a low post count

and someone asking about removing security items. The dealer or any tire shop can remove the lock but you will most likely have to replace them.

dealership

same thing happened to me and it was eating at me until I decided I didnt want to be stranded on the side of the road unable to take off my wheel and went to the nearest Honda dealership.

I wasnt charged for labor and was back on the road within the hr.....

I kinda miss having them though.

If this is a stock lock you can go the redneck engineering route. Take a socket that is just a tad too small and hammer it on to the lock, add breaker bar and there you go.

That's just bs. They can't charge you anything if you only want to find out what key you need.
