Fit 2010 Fuel Door Snapped - How replace? Help!

Hi all, I did some forum searching but having trouble finding what I'm looking for. Fit 2010 (canada), the fuel door snapped (plastic). I'm just seeing if it's possible for me to take it off the car, but the hinge of the door seems embedded, and there doesn't seem be an obvious way unscrew it.

I found this online: https://www.scribd.com/document/3170...-Does-Not-Open

...and that looks pretty involved to just get the fuel door off? My question is:

Q: Is that what's required to get the fuel door off? And if so, is it a job I can do myself?

Q: If the above is true, when I go to those instructions I linked; I have no idea how to access the first step, the fuel pipe protector?

Sorry for being so new. Thanks for any help or direction.

At least on my GD, the door actually pops off, you can replace them without taking the hinge off..

Just follow the instructions. Pull the rear wheel off and start there.
