Security won’t turn off, can’t go in drive
Hey yall
Not new, just can’t recover my old account. Been an owner of a 08 sport for 7 years now.
I tried to move my Fit the other day (not my daily driver anymore) and the battery was dead. I got it jumped off but as soon as it had power the alarm system started going off. I pulled the horn fuse just so I didn’t have to listen to it, but I can’t seem to get it to stop the alarm in total. Kicker is...I can’t even get my car out of park now. Idk if it’s related or not?
I saw it can be the hood latch sensor and I managed to unplug the wiring underneath the latch, and it stopped the flashing lights but the red light on the dash keeps flashing and still can’t get it into drive.
Anyone know of a DIY solution to this so I don’t have to get it towed?
