My left foot is on vacation for now and it's lovin it. Nothing tragic about auto especially with those nice paddle shifters!

I suspect this e-bay seller is also "Invision Fit" one of our dealers here.

Either stay with factory set up and replace filter with K&N insert, or do a CAI. Shorty sucks hot air. It is good during winter when it is cold and wet, but otherwise you are feeding it air that is over 100F. Just read other threads and stick to the facts. Colder air is more dense. Some people say that for every 10F temperature drop you gain up to 5% in performance. I do not know if it is that drastic, but it does make significant improvement. Just think how much better your car runs when you just start it and take off after few short minutes of an engine worm up during cold days. Dynos are not always best way to tell since they run cars with open hood and large shop fan bloving hot air out of engine compartment.
Go to a local parts store like kragen and pick up modular kit. I spent about $130 in October of last year. That is roughly the cost of short underhood set up's. I know half of you guys will start screaming that it is plastic and saps heat, but half of Fit's intake system is plastic. Face it, plastics are taking over with more advanced polimers.
If you are undecided check store return policy and try different set ups.
Good luck.

Update on the INJEN Cold Air Intake for the Automatic Transmission Fit! I just installed one on member "WAVE" Fit Sport Auto, and it was easy, and sounds great! Should be a performance gainer over short rams definately!
Im sure he'll report the Butt Dyno!
I have a Fujita Cold Air on my Manual Transmission FYI.

With the Injen CAI installed, for any water be sucked in you would have to be in a puddle that submerges the foglights completely...keep in mind my car is lowered slightly with T1R coilovers.
Just got home after drivng with it ---> SOUNDS GREAT! Much more aggressive sounding than the Fujita SRI I used to have. Really growls when you stomp on it. Performance gains? I dunno - too early to tell, cold winter air really helped out the Fujita SRI but as the weather gets warmer....
Oh yeah. Much Thanks to gettinafit for the install job. If anyone local needs help with stuff to install he's the man!

an intake doesnt have to be completely submerged before a hydrolock situation arises. intakes suck in a HUGE volume of air and the low pressure near the intake area WILL suck up water if it's close enough. And keep in mind you dont need to suck in a full cylinder's worth of water for this to happen. the volume at TDC is all that's needed to fatally damage your engine.

I can offer you verbal fitment report! It fits fine! Just make sure it is insulated from the top of the "fender eyelid area" maybe put a piece of rubber there to protect the intake tube from rubbing/slicing itself. And make sure that hose doesn't touch the heater hose either, you don't want to heat up that cold air!
Other than these two minor details, It fits good, performs well.
