Glad to hear about the new exhaust. I am though not impressed with the way it looks. Looks way big....out of proportion for the car. IMO the Honda Fit Tanabe Tourning Medallion exhaust looks much cleaner, sounds aggressive and gives good performance.
Again this is IMO....good luck with your HKS exhaust

Da Fitz...

I think you should also do a drive-by vid clip, preferably flooring it in 3rd if you got the MT. First gear on the MT Fits sounds much different in the other gears (at least that's the case with my A-Spec intake).

If price is a deciding factor, You could get the HKS for 254 shipped. From what I could find, the HFP exhaust is a bit more expensive than that.

Well, I got mine a week ago, but wasn't able to get it on until today. Fairly easy for my first car modification. Gotta love the Honda engineers for making the nut a part of the flange the mufflers attach to.

Anyway, this thing's got some volume to it. Surprisingly quiet at idle and low revs. Nice sound. Rev it up, and it makes some nice noise. Man, the L15 is a nice sounding engine.

Anyway, as far as looks, it's surprisingly subtle for a 3" tip. I was concerned it would be angled too far diagonally. I can't stand it when a muffler is pointed out toward the corner of the bumper. Anyway, it sits at a slight angle. Just enought to say it's something other than stock. It even makes the car look a little lower.

I got mine from x-s engineering, fyi.

So overall would you HKS Hi-Power exhaust owners say that the angle the exhaust comes out at is a good thing? Does it look funny or out of place with the Fit?

i just got the hks from options auto salon for 236 shipped, best price i could find and i looked for a couple months.
love the looks, like the sound, wish it was a little louder actually. i was going to get the greddy ti-c, but the hks sounded better in the video and now i wonder what the greddy would really sound like. oh well maybe next year. and the video sound clips everyone keeps posting sound nothing like it does in person, so they are misleading, i wouldnt make a decision on sound clip, ive heard about three different sound clips, and they all sound different.

i agree with what your saying however the videos will sound different cos of different cameras and different mods on the cars. i do think its a good idea to listen to the vids to get a general idea but not to buy 1. you should listen in 1st person befor you buy it unless you dont care what it sounds like

i know what you saying but it grew on me so it dont really matter anymore... most ppl that i meet was like i like the way your exhaust sits i got other saying it looks awkward so there is always pros and cons on an exhaust IMO...

Thanks... and you promised me a picture of your car taken straight on from the back to show the angle of the exhaust exiting . I'll keep an eye out on your picture thread. I have a VBP so I want a picture of the exhaust on the VBP!

Thank you! The last shot really shows off how the exhaust angles out. I think it is a bit much for my taste. Will I ever get used to it? I know you did.

I assume there really is not much you can do about the angle. I like the size of the exhaust a lot – not too big and classy looking. The price is right as well. Thank you again for posting the shots.
