as for the amsoil, BALLER! jp but that is good stuff, I've heard of whp gains from oils so hey maybe that's where it's coming from =)

Yeah I'm guessing the AMSOil is responsible for about 2 or 3 whp and the muffler delete maybe 1 or 2 whp. The 20k miles of aggressive but never abusive driving in 7 months doesn't hurt either. Engines behave how they are treated during their first miles.

Just go out there and remove the stock muffler its free and does the same job as any axle back thats made for this car. The only thing the axle back will do better is look better and keep the underside of the car al little bit cleaner.

removing the muffler is not my thing certainly. I don't want my car sounding raspy and overly loud. I'd rather have form and function over a few horsepower.

I can asure you it doesn't sound loud nor raspy. Yes its louder than stock, any axle back or exhaust mod will be, but I've heard REALLY loud cars and trust me I haven't even been bothered by police due to this small mod. And the quality of the sound is BEATIFUL!!! You don't lose anything for trying it out. Just two screws, slide it out and drive it for a bit and see if you like it or not, if not you can just bolt right back up no harm done.

The only thing an aftermarket axleback has over this is the better look of the aftermarket exhaust, wich I intend to achive by adding a Tanabee Touring Medalion exhaust just to make it look nice and finished.

Haha !!! free for those less than 100whp and a challenge for who has the least power! Sounds fun ... wish they had something like that here too.

I have a phobia for dynos now ... just had a motor blew on me while on a dyno a few weeks ago while tuning. And the car was in the shop the past 8 mths preparing just for that day so sad so sad ......

I plan to dyno again soon, just installed an axle back and soon CAI when I get around to it. Since I have a baseline I can see my gains =)
