Help needed

I have the Megan Racing catback, and a few days ago I hit a huge pothole and since then I hear rattles, like metal hitting on metal on the exhaust, when I go over bumps or uneven surface. Any ideas or suggestions on what the problem might be or how to fix it would be highly appreciated. Thanks

It's obvious that somethings loose. You should look under your car and wiggle your exhaust left to right (when the car it OFF) to see where it's hitting. Post it up, mayby take some pics if possible, and then maybe someone may be able to help you and/or tell you how to fix your rattles.

I checked and it hits where the rear wheels are and where the hooks on the midpipe are located. Maybe its the rubber part (3 hole triangle) that holds the hooks?

Maybe one of the heat shield (those metal sheets on top of
the exhaust line) ???

I checked again and when i shake the exhaust it hits the metal part on the passenger side just before rear axel beam. The heatshield does not seem to be in the way. I also tried to tighten the bolts on the muffler but it rattles even more and if I loosen them the muffler hits the rear lip. The problem is that the midpipe is now too close to the part it hits (was fine before the pothole).

If I replace the triangular rubber part that holds the hanger on the midpipe, by a more rigid part, will it work? Any other ideas?

if your rubber hangers are ripped then yes it will work, if not then a doubt it, make sure theyre not ripped, if they are throw your stock muffler back on and take it back to honda
