Modding=check Engine Light?
Modding=check Engine Light?
Just got a brand new 07 silver Honda Fit Sport and absolutely love it. Its peppy but its not quick......yet. Of course I have mods in mind right now, mainly the spoon exhaust, 16 inch SSR rims, and the Jackson Racing supercharger 5lb. boost kit for the AT (which is taking FOREVER to come out). In the past however I've had problems with the check engine light coming on after installation (and staying on) with no knowledge of how to turn it off properly and it drove me nuts.
I imagine it happens to the Fit too but my question is this, you can turn it off right? Has anyone had these light pop on yet? and if so could you turn them off?
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated and definately speed up the process of me modding my badass little Fit, I LOVE THIS CAR!!!

so far. I have done the dc headers and no cel. I also have a jdm last station powerbox and no cel. I know the j's racing downpipe cat-delete doesn't throw the cel. Same w/ the JRSC it doesn't throw a cel.
I had a 98 Nissan Sentra GXE with a Borla muffler (welded on), Hotshot header, and Hotshot CAI. I had to disconnect and move some sensors around which I imagined triggered the check engine light to come on, and just couldnt get it to turn off. Tried a few ideas people had and got nothing for it.
