Fastest Fit/Jazz on forum

Im thinking of getting a honda fit but im a horsepower freak since i have alot of relatives that drag race but im looking at the stock specs and on this forum for a little bit and the highests ive seen is 190( i havent been looking alot) but anyways if the fit only reaches like 200 or little over i might not buy one but i do love the honda fit body kitsso if you guys can post your specs about your fit that would be great and if you can tell what products your using

Just remember that the Fit is very light. I calculated the weight of my Fit Sport with me (105lbs), my girlfriend (<115lbs) and a full tank of gas. It's still under 2,800lbs.

Stock Fit Sport MT - 22.3lbs/hp
Stock Civic Si - 14.6lbs/hp
Fit w/ K-swap (let's say +0, 100, 200lbs) - 12.4, 12.9, 13.4lbs/hp

Then there's always more weight reduction possibly coupled with a turbocharger or supercharger.

Still makes it go faster. Weight reduction is less for the engine to pull.

If it's nothing but horsepower you want, you might as well either 1) K-swap/turbo/supercharge a Fit or 2) buy an Si.

805FitSport probably had the fastest L15 powered Fit.
Intake, header, exhaust, pulley, and nitrous. Dynoed a hair under 200whp. Probably could have hit 215whp with a tune? Ran a 13.9@98-99mph with a 75-80shot on street tires.

2000 more miles for me, Ill be putting together my nitrous kit.

I agree, BUT, i know that if you run @ 10PSI with the AJR turbo, you can get 210-220whp with the proper tuning. Runing @ 6 PSI, the guys are runing 180 at the wheels.

no doubt, and I think that is PLENTY for the Fit... But the guy who posted wanted to know that if the Fit could only be around 200whp then he wont buy it...

200WHP in a fit is FAST... HP numbers arent everything.

If gobs of HP is what you want, then get a GM or Ford. If you want handling coupled with relatively good amounts of HP, then get an import.

That's what I was trying to say earlier.

lmao, if you want fast buy a ***M or Ford?

um.... WRX, S2000, Integra Type-r, NSX

its a fit, its slow deal with it, dont buy it if you want a ton of power
and 200hp is quick, its not FAST

200whp is faster than that ITR, and probably as Fast as a S2000

I said "gobs of horsepower", not "fast". There's a difference in my book, dunno about yours. I've yet to see an import stateside that has over 400hp. However, there are a good number of GM and Ford cars that have 400hp+, albeit usually with a V8 or V10.

My Fit was FAST!!!! just ask the guys at S2Ki... lol turns, and straights... oh and MX6GT89 i was on a 100 shot when i went 13.9 anyone who plans to do more than a 50 shot should look into a external fuel pump...

on a side note, my Si all motor is one of the highest dynoing FA5's out there since we still have no EM out other than a reflash and its dynoing 211 WHP, it will be on nitrous soon too.

I think some people are missing the point here. HP is just one number in a bigger equation. You have to consider weight (like cojaro said) as well as your gear ratios and drivetrain loss (manual vs auto).

Case in point: the Lotus Elise has only 190 HP but weighs in at under 2000 lbs. It reaches 60 in under 5 seconds.
