Spoon N1 Exhaust Axle-back w/ PICS

This exhaust is so sexy. Not too big and not too small. Not too loud and not too soft. And at $430 dollars, i just had to show this off.

All I need now is the b-pipe.

You can go to a muffler shop to ask them make a b pipe for you. Make sure to get the right flanges.

Could you post a side shot to see how the exhaust fits under the rear bumper? I know it sits in a little more since the JDM Bumper is shorter than the USDM bumper. Thanks.

Actually, I think it sits perfectly. I'll take some side shots and distant shots tomorrow when there's light.

The Spoon N1 is great. Appearance is good, sound is good, performance is good.

Spoon N1 + B-pipe FTMFW!

I see you've taken out the silencer. Feels a lot more free with it out.

You are paying for the name. I agree $430 for a muffler is ridiculous.

For the money you are getting a quality axel back, it looks great, not too large. Sounds awesome, great performance too!

You're paying for a name because the parts have been proven to work time and time again.

If you want to be technical... you're paying for a name when you buy parts from APC, Megan, etc. The price is low, because the parts (and therefore the name) are cheap.

I know nothing about Megan, but I do know that spoon has been tuning HONDA's exclusively for a long time. As well thier N1 exhaust has had great reviews and performance gains on older hondas like the rsx, integra and civics.

I believe Spoon is a really good quality company, no argue there, but my main reason for being skeptical at the price is how much tuning can Spoon put into an axle-back? Does it gain 1.5hp instead of something like Megan who only gains 1hp? There's really no room to tune an axle-back exhaust to a specific car. I'm not hating on it at all but the tone of the OP made it sound like $430 was a steal for this exhaust but to me it seems like Spoon/it's vendors are making out like the bandits instead.
