I would think if you were spending 10K for a swap like this then I would hope it would be for the power. U have a reliable L15a engine?
If u wanna be different...buy a Skyline !

but thats not different, a k23 into a fit, meanwhile making it 4WD is different. I'm not saying the L15 isn't reliable, but to swap in a built K20/24 isn't going to be a super reliable setup either, especially if you go with a lower compression piston setup.

And the Fit already handles like crazy, why not swap in a k23 for auto x purposes. I don't plan on doing either swap, at least for a long time anywho, I just think that it would be a cool original idea to run a 4WD turbo fit, and have it an all OEM setup.

It certainly will be original!
Just saying if it has not been done yet...then it is probably not worth it or cannot be done. I have never seen a 4WD honda swap.....good luck!
I did not even compute the AWD nightmare as well as a crazy suspension setup to hold that beast.....honestly with the cost of the engine plus install plus fabrication plus brakes plus suspension = 15K.
But like I said earlier this was IMO. It would certainly be original. GOOD LUCK!!!

It would definately be a junkyard motor, buying that from Honda would be a nightmare

a guy from here in the UK is currently in the process in doing the k24 swap into the jazz/fit.. he is the current distributor for js racing and wants to replicate the exact same car, think he said the js racing fit is running something like 300+ bhp..
not sure on the 4wd side of things but when he does get it squeezed in there, it will be mental..
he bought the k24 motor from honda itself, set him back a small fortune something like £10k ($20k US)..
think he also said he is running a DC5 6speed transmission, i dont no the technical side of things so be kind if u think this will not fit etc..
hoping to go up and c it soon, last time i went up he hasnt started on it yet, waiting for parts coming in from js japan...

I also think it would be a waste of money. But theres nothing wrong with an automatic turbo car. Those are normally the best, no turbo lag besides first gear. And to get rid of that, brake boost/power brake.

Also, people talking about AWD and 4WD in the Fit. Remember that everything runs on the pass. side of this car due to the magic seats and somewhat lowered floor. LOTS of cutting would need to be done for a transfer case and a driveshaft.

Im willing to bet the car wouldnt handle so good. Thats LOTS of weight up front. The car would understeer all over. Also why K20 Fits arent so good of handlers. The Fit with its stock weight distribution is awesome, why ruin that for extra power?

K23=no It uses the accord V-6 Transmission with beefed internals. Tranny is too wide to fit in a fit. and bolt pattern won't fit a K20 transmission without adding an adapter plate and shaft adapter. SO it'll still add 2" minimum to the transmission width.

K24= 19mm taller than a K20, all other dimensions are the same. the accord/CR-V/element K24 can be found for around $5-600 at scrapyards. Intake custom header, exhaust and chip, and you have 165Whp and 170Wtq. Not as fast as a K20 with mods but still killer and around $4k cheaper.
