k&n filter & our sensors...

umm i heard the oil vapors from the k&n filters can damage maf sensors.

-does our honda fit have a map or maf sensor?
-does this k&n drop in damage the fit?

...and what is the difference between the two?

We have map sensors. i've had the k&n drop-in for 3 months, no problems at all. It comes pre-oiled so u got nothing to worry about.

got a cai with a k&n filter on the end. cleaned/oiled it a couple times so far and no problems with anything...not even running it hard right after oiling it. so i would assume no worries? ;p

I've heard about the oil/MAF problem also.I had one on an Integra and I had no problem's,but I did take my K&N filter off my Fit(just to be safe/plus didn't notice any difference in any performance or throttle reponse).

I find that the K&N filter doesn't add any performance or mileage and it does increase the noise from the intake. I'm also thinking of going back to stock.

WE DO NOT HAVE A MAF SENSOR. WE HAVE A MAP SENSOR!!! This has been posted many, many times. K&N filter oil does not affect MAP sensors.

He never said we had a MAF, and no need to yell even if he had.
