thanks chris, that pretty much ends the debate, regardless of all the 'well....its still going to be a good kit for cheaper!' posts that will no doubt ensue after this.

thanks again man!

What this basically means is that when they parted ways Doug Thorley Headers took probably 10-15 kits that are the old KW SC kit and now are advertising them in a group buy here.

My guess is they will seel those kits and we'll never hear about this again or they will reverse engineer the one that have and try to make it better and I am sure KW would not let that happen.

So basically I think it's safe to assume that all potential buyers of this kit should know that it is a lesser one than the KW one and that they may have a hard time getting support and parts from DT in the future...

What a bunch of assumptive crap. What facts are you basing all your assumptions on? The Doug Thorley company has been in business longer than you have been alive and has an excellent business record.

So where are you coming up with all this reverse engineering crap or the cracker "hard time getting support and parts from DT". Why would someone have trouble getting parts????

Your just making up stuff on a subject you know nothing about. So how about backing your BS with some facts???

i'm pretty sure he knows he's assuming.

besides, the fact that a muscle car company takes interest in our little fits, despite the number of more profitable honda platforms out there, is quite strange.

and that is a fact.

Give rider a PM or call. Check the DT thread in the group buy section.

What is strange about a car parts company making inroads into a new market???? Businesses are in the business of trying new markets to sell products nothing strange about that.

I wasn't trying to start a fight here or anything man

I was just guessing what I thought happened and it clearly says I assume in my post lol.

I am not here to anger anyone, I am just offering my view of this based on what I have read in these threads.

I really don't know what made you so angry about the whole thing enough to give me a negative rep point

In any case no hard feelings

You can ask Oscar Jr. at Kraftwerks and he will politely explain what the situation was with this (former) relationship that led to the DT offering of (almost) the same s/c. Even when there's 2 sides to a story you get the picture pretty quick.

The assumptions are pretty close to the situation. It is not a simple matter of a company making "inroads into a new market", unfortunately. I did ask and did research so there's not "a bunch of assumptive crap" here.

because if they really were interested in that, there are much more successful honda platforms to cater to that would be more profitable?

there is nothing wrong with wanting to expand your market, but i doubt mopar is going to be making anything for our fits soon.
