Add to that the fact that your now paying for Premium fuel. That is what is keeping me from doing it. I refuse to give the World Bank and IMF more money than they already have not to mention the oil companies themselves.

If I disable the AWD in my Subaru Outback V6, I get 24mpg. More room and power than the Fit if you were to get 25 as noted with passengers. My Fit just tuned 5000 miles and I'm getting 27 (without a boosted engine) in and around Parkways; waiting for that mid-30's number at least some day.

I've always used Premium because I work at the gas station! Never affected me.

8 PSI?

I don't recall the KWSC offering a 8 PSI pulley? I thought it was 5 psi or 10 psi pulleys... 8 sounds like a good number

any numbers at the wheels at 8 psi?

just thought someone who has a real lead foot should chime in.

Without boost, i've regularly seen btwn 27-33mpg

27 was where I would spend over half the tank in the canyons in addition to daily commute (fwy + local)
33 is purely commuting (fwy + local)

right now, i've gone through two tanks boosted with one that was 29 and the other 25

29 was purely commuting (fwy + local) but i must add a note that i'm pretty heavy footed right now because its just so much fun!
25 was with 1/2 the tank spent in the canyons. I'm keeping up with Si's and WRX's a lot better on the straights, now, and getting like 10 more mpg than they are LOL!

Thanks for the numbers everyone.. i think this will be a useful thread for anyone who is considering boost like myself.

I'm going the KWSC route over turbo for personal reasons (climate, DD, etc).

Suit yourself, although Turbo's would run really well in Canada I assume considering it's not hot like here in Texas. Right now our highs are around 95 degrees Farenheit. My gas numbers are quite low due to the fact I'm always running A/C and have a passenger here and there.
I'm not trying to deter you away from the Supercharger, but I like the turbo boost feeling better. And IMO, I like the look better.

I was very set on the T1R kit, but then I started seeing how no one in Calgary drives their aftermarket turbo cars in the winter.. we get 3 months of summer, 3 months of rain, and 6 months of snow.

The biggest concern with the turbo was that the intercooler would be exposed to a lot of salt spray which can make it corrode very quickly if the coating on it is at all compromised... where as the SC kit doesn't have a front mount intercooler.. and my fiance is going to be driving the car... need I say more? lol

lol, less fun for you The intercooler can be coated with protection. Turbo's love the cold weather and can be set at 6psi all year round. Yea I can see the supercharger being for you though now that you mentioned the Fiance. Good luck with your choice

38.2 MPG last tank!!! Lots of highway miles, hypermiling, and following semis @ 1sec. Scangauge said 37mpg. This tank, scangauge says 34 right now. Will update in like, a day. That should be about 100+ miles.
