What are some options in improving performance?

Hello,

I was just wondering what are some of the easiest options and cheap in increasing performance of my tiny 1.5 L engine in the '08 AT Sport.

I am looking at a new header, but I'm not sure what else I could do that is easy to change since I'm pretty much a newbie to engine work.

Some suggestions would be helpful. Also I have already searched the forums, but nothing addresses my question of a quick and cheap fix.
Thanks,

Will an intake really help my automatic? I hear that cold-intakes are only beneficial towards manuals. Also, this will all void my warranty if I add these things right?
