I was wondering if there is a exhaust leak or leak anywhere in fromthe headers back, Is the car gonna throw me a sign or signal of some sort???
CEL, or maybe something in the odometer, oil screen???

Ive had the t1r test pipe installed for about a week now and everyday i get more nervous that maybe it needs to be tighter or i wonder if there are any leaks. I installed the t1r test pipe and the skunk2 catback and it is LOUD but sounds beautiful to me... Im just wondering and want to make sure i did it right,..,.THANKS

 

it wont throw a CEL, but you will be able to hear if there was a exhaust leak.

 

am i listening for a hiss type of sound?? I mean i tightened those bolts as much as i could connecting the test pipe to the header Its just its so loud its hard to tell ....

 

yes, sounds like a plastic bag being squished up.

 

Your leak is where the header and test-pipe meet. The test-pipe and exhaust is hard to have a leak there. Unless theres no gasket.

I never solved that leak on my Fit when I had the T1R pipe. I even changed the gasket to a nice thick weird looking gasket. It was metal weaved or something?

I bet the Skunk2 is loud now. My Busa mufflers sounded like the Skunk2, and the Fit I heard it on had the stock cat and header.

 

well thank goodness i havent heard anything yet maybe through the week if i have time ill retighten everything again..i did put the gasket on for the exhaust and pipe but there was no gasket for the pipe and header....YEAH the skunk2 and test pipe are freakin LOUD and the butt dyno feels it tooo unless im just ramming the gas every shift and kidding myself. hahah no it def feels more (peppy)<--- i really hate that word//// IMHO sids intake with my aem filter the test pipe and the skunk2 catback system has really made me feel some nice gains.. I dont know of any dyno around here but would love to know what WHP gain ive gotten for the $700.00 ive spent...some header plans are in the future too
