one-off custom intake on ebay

Saw this on ebay and thought I would post it out of interest and in case anybody here would want it.

I'm not affiliated with the seller in any way, shape or form, blah, blah, blah.

eBay Motors: 07 HONDA FIT TURBO UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD CUSTOM (item 190233691699 end time Jul-07-08 18:29:51 PDT)

I guess I should have left out the part about not being affiliated with the seller.

My AV/firewall marked it as spam and blocked it... I would expect an ebay auction link to have an ebay URL, not some 3rd party URL...

My mistake...

No problem.

I like to use "tinyurl" to shorten web addresses.

i would consider buying this if i knew for a fact that it would fit. the seller posted no reason why he was selling it. seems kinda suspect.

The funky angle on the TB flange seems a little suspect as well...

looks nice from a design stand point. I would have metal finished it due to the not so uniform welds. only thing is this style manifold would only help on high boost, high rpm scenerios, which is not likely on the l15a. thats alot of plenum volume. its gotta just kill low end power.

im not much into FI and dont really know much about it. but that intake manifold really looks like it for a nissan sr20 motor. either its a scam or the person who made it has experience with nissans.

Looks like a custom piece for sure, a lot of hard welding! Must have taken a long time to complete. My only complaint is It looks kind of ghetto, sort of like an aluminum quilt that was stitched together

it looks like its made for a fit, definitly not for a nissan. that plenum shape is commonly used in the forced induction world. used alot on sr20's, rb engines, 2jz, and even seen a few that shape on B series engines. alot of people call it a "surge tank". works great in high boost/high volume applications but deffinitly over kill for any fit out there.
