If I recalled correctly, the manual said 5k miles. So my question is how can you tell when your FIT is break in ? any change in the car ? BTW, I had 2k on mine.

Yeah that is what my manual said. 600 miles before you should do any kind of hard breaking or accelerating because the car needs the 600 miles to break in.

 

U actucally have before 600 miles....it's something like your first 400 miles. This has been beaten to death already in previous threads.
I myself did a "Hard Break In".....some peeps prefer to baby it till after the first oil change...some peeps won't even go over 3 thousand RPM's .
The engine is broken in at the factory. Do what you please!
