So I was either going to buy the megan downpipe or the aspec cat delete, but I believe the megan will result in a deeper sounding exhaust with less buzz and maybe less volume due to the resonator?

However it seems that the cars running the megan downpipe have CELs on, or maybe it's just me.

So, do tell, if you have the Megan downpipe, did your CEL fix work? If so, what did you do? If not, what have you tried?

 

why would the aspec cat delete buzz? would it "buzz" on a full megan exhaust system?

my cel light did not turn on but when i plugged the diagnostic tool into the computer it said something was wrong with my cat. so technically the cel light is not on but the computer knows. this is with the aspec cat delete. do you guys still think i need the cel fix

I wonder where the people are with the problems. I know JDMChris had a CEL from his megan downpipe forever and I think I noticed bluecell had one, but i'm not sure if he had the megan downpipe, then another guy told us somthing about his horror story with trying 12 different ways to get the CEL to go away.

and to I've heard that the t1r and the aspec cat delete make buzz just because they remove the catalytic converter. I just wondered if the megan's resonator fixed that.

 

I have megan downpipe, and I have no cel problem. just used an O2 fix.

 

the guy that tried like 12ways was using "electronic" fixes.. the mechanical way is the only way to go.

 

yup.. I have a CEL cause I have no fix... CEL doesnt bother me.

 

I have no light with my Megan cat delete, I did the mechanical fix. 2 Anti foulers spacing the O2 out away from the exhaust.

It does cause a little extra noise but not much as long as you keep the cat back stock.

 

I am not that of a car knowing guy. Does having a cel affect the car performance in any reason? I just put my megan an got a cel. If not I think I can live with just another light
