That TB looks a lot different than ours; Orientation, Shape and how it hooks up are all different.

Also as far as I can tell there is no restritive plate between the TB and intake manifold. You had mentioned that before, maybe it was deleted by the WR manifold? Will have to take a look at a stock unit to confirm.

Going to take some measurements of it ID on the manifold and TB when I have mine apart to put in the Rev2 WR manifold. I don't think there will be a benifit other than throttle responce if they are the same size.

In the end it would be like drinking out of a beer bottle and a sobe bottle. your mouth can only take so much liquid but it would fill up quicker with the sobe bottle because of the greater volume. someone needs to check and see if the same throttle signals are being sent to the bmw tb and the honda tb.

From what I understand, way to big physically.

Maybe it is just me, but when I tear out my old manifold I am expecting the TB & manifold dia's to be the same.

maybe you can custom fit a flange to your weapon r manifold to fix the odyssey tb? are water passages the same?

maybe something to look into later on, was hoping for a cheap bang-for-buck mod though.

^^^ agreed, I could have been much happier without the teaser this thread has created. Oh well, at least the overseas Jazz has a new option,

Manxman, any chance Claymore can send a comment beyond the ban-grave through you for this thread? Is this TB in the OP's similar at all to the JDM TB for the 1.5L?

My Rev1 is due to be en-route to WR under a product exchange. You would be better off ordering a new one from them and then modifying it.

I think that Honda 64mm one might be too big in general to even consider installing. Maybe if you are near a dealer anytime soon have a look for yourself.

The S2000 has a larger 64mm DBW TB as well in the newest version. Checking out some pictures it doesn't look too crazy huge....

...lol, i am just grasping for straws right now.

if you can figure out which tb will work i could possibly fab something up to make it work with our oem manifold. seems like a spacer would work to connect the two. but would the l15 take advantage of the amounts of air it will be fed?

Sugerphreak, I'll be awaiting your findings. On a sidenote, I wonder how this is going to act when it's mated up with the controllers.

i don't understand the problem with the TB fitting. How hard is it for people to cut off the smaller flange and put on a bigger one that would allow for more clearance for the TB?

because the chamber that the tb is connected to is plastic. it is hard to cut off the flange and put a bigger one one. techically i can weld plastic but an aluminum space would be easier or a new flange on the weapon r manifold.

Should have some measurements of everything by tommorow, basically if the diameters are the same then I am probably going to shy away from changing anything.

If I find out the manifold dia. is signifigantly larger then the TB, it will be off to "pick-your-part" to look for matching TB's to try out

I am thinking some TB's may also be larger in width and depth which won't let them physically fit into the space alloted.

2006+ S2000's should have a DWB 64mm version. The pics I have seen of them look promising. Sounds like lots of owners don't like the DBW setup and swap them out for a cable version RSX-S throttle body, maybe that means there are some good deals to be had?

How sweet would that be if it uses the same voltage, bolt pattern and plugs.
