noob intake questions

I have a new 2009 sport MT and I'm hoping at some point to get an intake for it. I have a couple of questions:
1. Does having an intake change your MPG? If so does it only change it when driving the car hard?
2. How long does it typically take after a new model comes out for there to be intakes out there?
3. Does it make the engine noise a lot louder?

Thanks!

1.) it usally helps MPG for the better
2.) probably not too long, you'll be seeing mods here in a little bit.
3.) you can't really hear the intake roar unless at WOT, but then it sounds amazing!!
