It is not a straight bolt in. There will be some cutting, welding and fabrication in order to fit the K20 engine.

I am curious to see all of the modifications it will take to install the K20, K22, or K24 into the Fit. Brian G at Hasport said that they are thinking of using the new K22 in it.

ek888 has done the swap and there were some welding and fabrication work done. I would love to see the HASPORT coming out with mounts for this conversion and it will save a lot of work.

I agree with Ben aswell, but I thinking the main swap that might be happening will maybe be the R18

I would be thinking this conversion will be in the 8K-10K area with all parts and equipment

Spoon motors are built for endurance not power. It would be a huge waste for a street car.

hmm..not bad...but how come the Mugen Dynamite gets 260ps and not me? what did they do to the motor? my sister has an '05 RSX Type S with only an AEM cold air intake, it would pretty sad if she could outrun me.

It wouldnt be "sad" it would be expected. An RSX Type S has a K20 Motor with 200HP. The Fit is not a race or sports or performance car! It has a single cam 109 HP economy tuned motor. OF COURSE SHE WILL OUTRUN YOU. She also paid $10K more for it too.

This is not to say you can't modify the Fit enough to eventually outrun an RSX type S. The parts are certainly available. But its unlikely you will be doing it with a L15A motor.

The Mugen Dynamite has a K20 motor with 260PS, welded in at an angle and goes 10MPH top speed. Your sister could even outrun the Mugen Dynamite.

Moral of the story there isnt one person in the world yet that has completed a streetable K20 Swap in the fit yet. And yes your sister till PWN3Z U!

i knew the dynamite has a K20, i was just wondering why it has 260ps on an N/a motor, what did they do to it? and thats odd, how does it only go 10mph? if it was that slow, wouldnt it mean the they just dyno'ed the engine on some other car and now claim it as 260ps on the fit? or shall i say dynamite?

Probably means that they haven't figured out one (or more) of a number of things:
1. how to mount the engine so that it doesn't fall out at speed or shake the rest of the car to hell
2. mating up to a transmission that will fit
3. mating up to other systems that are necessary for reliable running (fuel system maybe?)

I don't imagine the K-series engine swap is any easy feat - especially considering the size of the engine bay.

260hp out of a K series isn't that hard. I have a magazine article around here where they had 290 whp NA from a K series over a year ago.

AEM even ran an add for the RSX-S claiming 60+ whp gains with their intake, header, exhaust, under drive pulleys and EMS (programmable ECU).
