Megan Racing Axle Back- Good Price on eBay
For any '07-'08 Fit owner who is interested in this exhaust, I found an eBay vendor with a LOT of them at a great price. I had one on my '07 Sport and loved the sound. I also paid exactly this price in late 2006- that's how good the price is in this ad.
One problem with this ad---- it says that it fits '06 through '09 Honda Fits. IT DOES NOT FIT THE '09. The vendor is not lying, he just did not know how different the '09s are from the 1st. gen cars.
The inlet pipe of the muffler that bolts to the flange on the B pipe is almost straight on the 1st. gen Fits. The muffler inlet pipe on '09s is much longer, and loops almost 180 degrees up and down to provide clearance over the rear axle. Here is the link---------------

I have corresponded with the eBay vendor to make sure that he now knows these will NOT fit '09 Fits. He will correct his ad. I am going to wait up to six months for Megan or other manufacturers to come up with good choices that will work on the new Fits. If nothing shows up in that time, I will buy a '07-08 Fit Megan axle back (for probably more money than this ad), and cut, bend and weld to fit it on my '09. I REALLY miss the Megan voice from my '07 Sport. I can't imagine that it would sound any different on my new "09.
So you all would reccomend the Megan axel back? I have been really looking hard into this exhaust for my 07 Sport AT (wanted a manual, but when I bought it Fit had just hit the market, and there was a 6-8wk waiting list for my area and I couldnt wait, my car died the day before.
)
There are cheaper ones on ebay then that one. That one is charging $25 for shipping, you may want to look for free shipping to get the total price even lower. Plus with some ebayers, they let you make an offer, and if its reasonable you may even get it for less.

I love mine. They look really good if you paint the canister flat back and leave the pipes untouched. Also, the sound can't be beat.
I miss my Megan axle-back a lot. I ditched it for a straight pipe muffler delete, the delete is about the same level of loudness but it growls more, the Megan was nicer to cruise with and the 2 dual tip look was so sexy. I might have to buy one again.
your response doesn't really help RandomKoko as my ws2 bolts up to the OEM b-pipe and it's 50mm in diameter.
the megan b-pipe is 60mm. if the axleback and b-pipe are developed by the same company and are [theoretically] supposed to compliment each other then i would guess that the axleback would also have a 60mm inlet.

If your stock pot-metal cone seal fit the Megan inlet pipe when you bolted it up to the stock pipe, then it was exactly the same size as the stock pipe. If your Megan inlet had been "significantly bigger", then the stock cone seal would not have fit, the bolt holes would not have lined up, and the coupling would have leaked so badly that the muffler wouldn't muffle anything. ANY bolt-on axle-back muffler, if it bolts onto the stock pipe, has to be exactly the same size as stock at the coupling. It doesn't matter how much bigger the piping gets inside the muffler or at the muffler tip. If you don't need some kind of adapter to get it to fit the stock pipe, it is the same size as stock.

The stock piping opens up at the flange and then goes back down to stock size, you can see how it is cone-shaped. The Megan is the same diameter as the larger part of the "cone." No leaks either.
Well now you're just changing your statements, first the whole inlet pipe going to the muffler was the same diameter now it's only at the coupling. Obviously they're the same size at the coupling, then the stock axle-back is reduced back down to 1.75" and the Megan is left at 60mm. Calm down buddy, no need to get all riled up.

that's the answer i wanted to hear. thanks man. that guy have some issues.
Dozens and dozens of GD3 owners ordered Megan Axle Back twin tube mufflers. We took off the stock muffler, and bolted the Megan muffler on it its place. The Megan is exactly the same size where it connects in the same place as the stock muffler. Anyone who can't understand that needs medical help.

you can be a real help when you choose to but also a big A-hole when you choose not to. although RandomKoko wasn't clear with his question, rather than throw dry-insults, both Arisenfury and myself understood enough to answer him.
i've already said more than i needed to. i'm done with this thread.

anything past the coupler is muffler? don't offend anyone here with your ignorance, since when did a pipe 'muffle' sound? the megan axleback (as well as any axleback) muffler has sections: flange (or coupler, as you refer to it), pipe, muffler, and exhaust tip(s). if you fail to realize that, maybe you should seek medical help.
so now i'm in a lower class of intelligence and maturity, according to who's standards? yours? ouch.. excuse me while i cry my eyes out, lose sleep, and develop adulthood anxiety... BTW, your analogy is weak, i would never refer to my thumb as 'hand'

that's one way of pronouncing my username, you seem to gravitate towards childishness so it fits you quite well..
prepare yourself for another meltdown
the entire argument began with a simple question, RandomKoko wanted to know what size the piping was for the megan axleback. it was OBVIOUS that he wasn't asking if the megan axleback was a bolt on replacement. you failed to help him so both Arisenfury and i did our best to provide an answer that was easily understandable.
i'll wash my hands with this debate, arguing with you is wasted breath. RandomKoko got his answer and that's all that matters.
