K&N do not have jazz filter...

Simota filter I heard there is this rubber melted problem after 2 years of usage...

depends which shape you have?

The elongated rectangular shape one.
The squarish one with one of the corners cut off

Or the absolute square one (which is found in facelift jazz/fit).

I prefer the HKS racing suction Intake. Cost is about $500 bones, but well worth it. Just need to shield it to prevent hot air from entering the engine.

I like HKS also but just curious as to why you say it is "well worth it" over another brand?

Not sure if it comes with DIY cleaning kit. You can find out at spoons website.

Not sure on the price as well as I haven't really looked into it cos my filter shape is different. I've search ebay for honda jazz/fit items and they don't really have any other than KN induction kits.

I have spoon as K&N don't make a filter to fit the long rectangular airbox. The spoon is NOT washable and cost me A$150. Instructions specificly say do not oil or get damp. However unless you get grease on it you can just blow it out (carefully) with compressed air and drop it back in.

HKS & APEXI are pop filter....
K&N do not sell long rectangular air filter for 04' jazz model.
Spoon is no different from the stock filter, paper type.

anyone heard about hurricane filter ?
it a stainless steel panel filter.

any review ?
anyone is currently using it ?

Yeah I've heard of hurricane filter.

They're pretty cheap but the one they only make is for the facelift airbox (square shaped) but if you contact them (buddyclub.org) I'm sure they'll make you one for your airbox. Some people have requested custom ones made for their airbox.

I have the K&N kit 57i.It is very good and after 4000rpm you xcan see the difference better.
Here in Grecce it is the only kit you can find together with the BMC.
But the K&N costs 200euro and the BMC 300euro+

Just to let you guys know, the new Spoon filters are not washable. You can brush off or air gun the dirt off but it is better not to wet it. The only washable ones are only made for Integra, RSX and S2000.

If yours is an A/T, it is not recommended to use open air type filter, and instead, you'd better use aftermarket drop-in element such as = K&N, Simota, JFC...
