What about the cheapest way.... Nitrous....

All this talk about turbos and superchargers, what about nitrous... how much u think the small motor will handle? I would be happy with like 150whp, or even crank...... i'm not planing to do this soon (dont even have my fit yet) but I am researching everything i can...

nitrous is cheaper...but not that cheap. do it correct and your spending nearly $1300.

NOS wet kit $650
NOS bottle heater $145
blanket (recomended if you live in a colder climate) $50
2stage rpm window/TPS switch $100
purge kit $120
pressure gauge $30
a/f gauge $220 (or lean cutoff switch)

DO NOT get the zex kit. 2 of my friends have had the nitrous solenoid(box) fail....and its not a repairable fix. the box needs to be replaced. their solenoids suck.

Thats a zex kit and its used...i wouldnt touch it. i didnt want to say any warning in that thread since it would hurt his sales, but i woulndt recomend running that.

i cant seem to find the thread where my friends nitrous zex solenoids failed only 3 months after installing it...it was brand new.

normally i wouldnt knock it for a simple solenoid going bad...but since zex has the "box" that contains both solenoids, its not a cheap part to replace(regular solenoids are about $100), the bx is $300..

NOS
dynotunenitrous
sniper(made by NOS)

any single fogger wet kit for a 4 cylinder car will work as long as you get a window switch/TPS to wire in for activiation.

i had a dyno tune nitrous kit on my SI and it worked great. i used their 2 stage rpm window switch/TPS switch and it was perfect...its made by the same people that make teh zex switch except it combines both TPS and RPM in one box and is half as much.
i had it set to go on at only WOT and between certain RPMs. it was easy to program and install....just dont use their wiring diagram since its wrong(their relays arent wired in correctly). i have the correct one. PM me if you need it.
