I am interested to turbo my Fit on high boost(around 20PSI), but I can't find forged connecting rods, all what i had found was the K1Technologies H-Beam connecting rods, which I already contact them asking if their rods will hold 22PSI, and their answer was :
The rods that we have were actually designed for a naturally aspirated application but are much stronger than the factory rods.

So please any suggestions?

I dont think there is any thing out there yet. gd3kamiwanaB recently blew his motor up on Boost. I think he now looking into a shop making some custom forged internals for his car.

If you want a nice set you can buy one complete connecting rod from someone like Majestic Honda(iirc its about $80) and send it to Carillo or another connecting rod man. and they will custom make you a set at the standard charge. I contacted someone a while back about this but dont remember which manufacture. But i was told it would be about $780 for set of 4.

I notice plenty of people have busted connecting rods but havent seen any pictures of burned or melted pistons so here is my question.

Are the pistons hypereutectic cast? How much power can they hold?

Most importantly if I cheaped out and only installed rods could that make a reliable engine at about 275hp?

any input would be helpful.

 

While I can`t accurately answer your question for you, I believe Bisi has forged rods. Hopefully this might help a little.

 

Im already looking rather seriously at the brian crower clubman or eco rods, however, I would like to see if anyone has an answer or a comparison about the pistons?
