Turbo compressor maps

I was wondering if anybody has ever found any compressor maps for the turbos used in the T1R kit and the HKS kit.

I believe they are both Garret T25 frame turbos. Turbo by garret's website should have what you're looking for.

Yea you'd think Garrett's website would show both of them, but they don't, and i think the hks turbo is a hks T25 frame turbo not Garrett, and I think the t1r turbo is a oem Garrett turbo off some other car and that's why they don't show the compressor map.

Well that's interesting to know, but it still doesn't help me know the potential of the t1r/hks turbo's without the compressor maps

While that seems like a very cool tool, it'll take me a little while to understand how to use it since i don't recognize some of the units of measurement. For instance what's Hg or psig or "fuel specific gravity"?

HG - Reference for Inch of mercury - Search.com
PSIG - Reference for Pounds per square inch - Search.com
FSG - Reference for Specific gravity - Search.com

you will need to understand these terms in order to properly find the limits of the turbo

Damn these little guys spin quick... On the order of 150,000 rpm!

I always heard numbers like 60,000 rpm, but that was for bigger turbos like t3/t4 on up.

Sure explains why it sounds like it does when it spools up.. hard to describe, but it sure gives the mental image of something spinning fast enough to warp time.
